New York, New York — February 18, 2022 — Listen to an inspiring podcast with Zane Buzby, founder of Survivor Mitzvah Project website designed by Westside Virtual
Laura Whitcoff, host of Small & Gutsy Podcast, offers their listeners the opportunity to learn about the smaller, less known nonprofits and social impact organizations with revenues under $10 M. Their aim is to tell their story and further build their client, potential employee, volunteer and funding networks.
In this particular podcast below, we learn The Survivor Mitzvah Project’s goal is that no Holocaust survivor who has experienced the darkest days of human history will ever be cold, hungry, or neglected again.
“Today’s guest is Zane Buzby. Zane has directed over 150 sitcoms ranging from Golden Girls to Married With Children and Blossom. During a break from filming, Zane took a “roots trip” to seek out the birthplaces of her grandparents in Belarus and Lithuania. She found 8 elderly Holcaust survivors in their 80s and 90s in desperate need of food, medicine and water. Aging in place with no medicare or health insurance, extended family, medication and givergivers, they were in dire need of help. On returning to Los Angles, Zane founded a non-profit charity to bring emergency aid. Through trips overseas, Zane found more and more survivors in critical need. Today, The Survivor Mitzvah Project has grown to helping over 2,000 survivors in 8 countries. The more people who learn that there are survivors out who aren’t receiving aid, the more people are compelled to help. That’s what this is all about. Zane says it’s a joy to be a part of this effort and is life changing for those who help as well as the survivors being helped.”
