The Rockwell Group
The Rockwell Group is an international architecture and design firm. Founded by David Rockwell, FAIA, and led by David and partners Shawn Sullivan and Greg Keffer, the 250-person firm merges performance and architecture to create extraordinary experiences and built environments across the globe.
Westside Virtual has enjoyed two successful engagements with The Rockwell Group. On our first engagement, we were asked to audit their Human Resources intranet which was rendering employee data improperly. We performed a comprehensive audit and uncovered several root causes. We delivered our results in a series of reports and spreadsheets. Some months later, we were contacted for our second engagement to completely rebuild the site from scratch.
The new site is built on top of a BuddyPress framework and the WordPress back end is entirely customized for the administrators, including a branded login page.
We delivered the intranet website that The Rockwell Group wanted – a dependable, stable and more agile intranet for its employees.
Within the new intranet, there is an Employee Knowledge Base, an Employee Directory with names and phone numbers, a Library of book titles, links to external Architectural magazines, a Public Relations Media slideshow, customized keyword searches using Ajax, a custom Admin interface, custom post types, a mega menu, customized User Roles, and a custom Font Set to match Rockwell Group’s corporate identity.
